Inspirational

I think this text is inspirational for two reasons. I like the way the it looks hand done and more for a child type design which you don't know that it came from Dr. Seuss till you have read it all. Which then the typeface does fit really well. My next reason for it being inspirational is just due to the fact of the quote. It is very simple and presented in a way to get the message across.

The headline in this drives me crazy. It is not bold enough and does not catch your eye right off the bat. Maybe with a bolder font choice and even a different color on that background color to make it pop a little more would help with my issue of not liking this design.

Good use of a ligature

This is a good use of a ligature because the two letters are combined. The u and the r make up one new letter. This would be bad if one of the letters became lost and unreadable or they did not fit together well. But in this case both of those things work well with these two letters.

Poor Kerning

This is an example of Poor Kerning that is on a professional nail box. This is sold all over and the kerning in the word "ever lasting" needs to be adjusted. They need to be moved closer together and more evenly spaced. While the "lasting" needs to be a little more spaced apart, because the "ever" is already bold it already stands out over the "lasting". So if the kerning was adjusted it wouldn't fall back from the rest of the design.

"Good Typography"

I feel that this represents good typography because it is balanced, and clear. The logo has different fonts and part of it has an arrow through it but it is still legible from a distance. I also feel that the fonts work well together. The over all design does what it was intended to do and thats why I feel its it good typography.
